I knew I should have replaced it when I had everything torn apart but I was excited to get her on the road again.
I got the LMC replacement cam 34-0771 and it isn't formed correctly and doesn't contact the contacts correctly to turn on the turn signals. It also doesn't have threads to screw it onto the signal mechanism. It is a POS in my opinion. Got another one coming from Dorman. I'll let you know.
Anyone else buy one of the LMC ones?
Thanks,

I talked with Tony Smith before I rebuilt my column and he steered me away from LMC. I don't buy ANYTHING from LMC that I can get elsewhere. I too have learned from experience their quality and customer service is sub-standard | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 426 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 426 | I agree stay away from LMC. I use brothers or truck parts in CA | | | | Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 1,002 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 1,002 | When working on old trucks who knows what's swapped out. I've bought a few turn signal cams over the years from various sources. The majority of the turn signals and cams have come from Shee-Mar Inc here's the link http://www.shee-mar.com/parts.htmlThis company has been around for years. IIRC the first cam I bought was in the early 70s for a 60 panel, maybe that was a switch. They mucked with their catalog and I had a hard time finding the early truck parts. They are there including illustrations and pictures. Larry
