"54HP gain by installing this manifold and a Holley. 115HP gain with the addition of a cam, and 145+ with the addition of headers." I have a 500 cfm Edelbrock on the same manifold along with a cam and long headers on a 292, but nowhere near 145 HP gain he claims! All my gains don't even add up to the 54 HP improvement he claims you can get with JUST the addition of the manifold and carb! :p http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36474&item=2454337470 | | | | | Joined: Apr 2000 Posts: 71 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2000 Posts: 71 | Would a used manifold salesman lie? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,228 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,228 | I seen that yesterday and got a good laugh out of it! That was according to a dyno test of many components and configurations of components. I'm sure that a good for barrel and high rise set up on a V8 gets a lot more horses than a good carb/intake set up on a stovebolt. The 16 hp bump I refered to above was on a 235. If you have a 100 hp engine 16 horses is a HUGE bump. I think Clifford has a combination of cam, intake, carb, and headers they claim will give a 25% increase. Okay, if you're working on a 150 horse 250, 25% is 37.5 horses, and that is a long way from what this ebay clown is claiming!
