Ok I need a little help with this weird problem. I just wired in my turn signals and when I pull the light switch out just for parking lamps they come on fine, but the bulb wont flash when I turn on the turn signal. I can hear the flasher working though. Then when I pull the switch out far enough the the head light come on, the parking lamps go out but the turn signals will work. I have the double bulb in for park/turn. So could I have wired the parking lamps up wrong? I did not think that the double bulb would care which side of it goes for turn and what side goes for parking. Any ideas??????????

Do you have twin element lights in the park light housing? If not then the park lights are just park lights when the light switch is in that position. They become turn signals only when the light switch is all on or all off. Two functions and only one light. When the light switch puts voltage to the park lights the flasher can not turn them off. Add a double contact base to the housing and move the turn signal wire to the brighter element keep the park light wire for the dimmer element and you will have both park and turn signals.

"I have the double bulb in for park/turn"
but do you have the two contact socket? if so, you might have the elements wired so the brightest one is 'park', so the dimmer one flashing doesn't show up

After reading some more posts on the forum, I went back last night to take a look at a few things. I had the turn signal on the dim side of the bulb and the parking light on the bright side. So I switched them around and everything works like it should now. So you were both barking up the correct tree, thanks for replying guys.
