I assume I only need to cut the air relief groove on the pushrod contact point for the lifters with the holes??? I plan to clean them and reuse if possible. Some were difficult to get out due to varnish. Please advise if I am correct. On lifters without a vent I cut a groove on the top of the plunger, where the push rod seat rests, to vent them there. I can post a pic if needed.
