My '66 C10 originally had a longbed stepside but the previous owner took it off and put on a very rickety fleetside. I'd like to put it back the way it was but I've noticed that you just don't seem to see very many beds like that around here. Depending what forum you read the long stepsides are either the ugliest thing you'll ever see or highly coveted. I can go the MAR-K route if I have to but I'd much rather find an original bed. Are these really that unusual?

There aren't actual published numbers showing how many of each model of trucks was sold for the 60-66 model years.

I started a poll a few years back on another very popular truck website. Based on that poll the long bed step side is the rarest bed for the 60-66 models.

I'm not saying the beds aren't out there but they are rare.

I'd suggest you contact Tony Smith or Rich Sisneros...

Good luck to ya! thumbs_up

There were 26,456 long wheel base, step-side trucks, produced in 1966.
