It is doubtful the key code would be stamped on the housing. I have seen some key cylinders stamped with the code but most are not. Most door lock cylinders are stamped with their code.

homer, you won't find repro 41-46 switches, but Chevs of the 40s has some posibilities that could be adapted, and you can always try a parts wanted post
