i've had this truck since march; today i saw it move under it's own power for the first time and i'm responsible for it

i had to put in a gas tank, all the associated fuel lines, get a battery, install all brake lines and hoses, and renew brake hardware, rebuild brake master cylinder, replace the rear main seal, remove and clean out the oil pan and oil filter housing, get an oil filter and air cleaner, remove and clean out the radiator, replace the water pump, and some other things i'm probably missing on top of being active duty military (full-time and then some) and raising my 3 year old on my own. the laugh at the end of the video is understated.

thanks! today's ride just made all the work and the money worth it, my zeal rejuvenated. the latest virginia inspection sticker says august 1994, and the previous owner had the truck since the 80s, so i'd guess this is the first time the truck has been driven since 1994. i'm about to pamper this thing right back into the 50s

Sir, Way to go! I know the feeling too. Mine took 3 yrs to bring back to life and I use it each and every day that it does not rain! Otherwise my "old green truck" is garage kept while I concentrate on funding the 2nd antique vehicle I'm bringing back to life ('52 'Burb).
