If you look carefully you can see the louvers on the drivers side indicating it has the side vent making it a pre-1951. There is another clue that I think maybe Tim Lederman might figure out.

Good observation Bill, the lead photo is a 1 ton and the one forward panel is a 1/2 ton.

I can tell you that the suburban is either a 1949 or 1950, but I can't pinpoint the exact year.

There are only so many parts visible in the picture, most of them are discernible by year or limited to a few years. The clue is obvious to those of us that have had this discussion in the past on components that were discontinued and replaced with a different component.

In the photo you provided showing the suburban, the giveaway for me was the extra hand hole close to the front door was added in 1949 and it appears to have the louvers on the drivers side cowl, so it is post 1948 and pre-1951

BTW: I could be wrong with the panel component, because it takes a little imagination and assumption on my part due to the size and quality of the picture.

I meant the ebay pic is named "52-1952-Chevrolet-Chevy-Panel-Truck ...." grin
otherwise I'd think the bumper shape might be a clue and dash layout/holes, not as familiar with the ADs

I knew the panel bodies were built on the floor assembly, I recall line pictures in an old Golden State catalog that showed some of it, including the completed body with front clip being lowered onto a chassis, thought I'd sacanned and saved them, but don't find'em now

I am a little confused on what is being identified.

The first link is of 1950 or later A-D panel trucks (number of planks is a give away, earlier years had 13 boards and 12 "skids" ). The rear truck looks like a 1-ton.

Bill's link is to an A-D Suburban, which only came in 1/2 ton. It is a pre-54/55 Chevrolet/GMC dash.

I know the title of the picture states 1952, I think I see louvers in the left side cowl, that would mean pre-1951. If it is truly pre- 1951 then Tim is on the right track and we should be able to date the truck from this picture. If I am wrong about the louvers, then it is probably a 1952 as stated.

Does this mean All 1947-1955 1st Advance Design Suburbans had a plywood rear floor?
Where as the 1947-49 panel truck had planks & the A-D Suburbans never had planks, only had plywood.?
As per Jim Carter below:
Panel Truck Wood Floor Changes "It appears this was the same size that was used with the flat floor board Suburban."
One Piece Panel Truck Floor "It now followed the example of the Suburban by using a one piece, 5 ply floor."

All 47-55 Suburbans had a plywood floor.

My mistake was to make it clear that in 1950, the Panels' rear floors changed from 13 boards and 12 metal skids to 5 skid strips and a plywood board.
