Hy 1955_Chevy_6400, I hate to do this, but I have to ask if you want to remove both driveshafts or just the rear one? If you want to remove just the rear one, it should be attached at the rear axle with two "U" bolts, remove the nuts from the "U" bolts and pry the back of the shaft toward the transmission until the "U" joint clears the pinion yoke. At the front end of the rear drive shaft there should be a collar around the yoke that the rear driveshaft slides into, if you take some pliers you should be able to unscrew the collar from the yoke, once the collar is removed you should be able to slide the rear driveshaft out of the yoke, make sure to mark the rear driveshaft and the yoke it slides into so that when you re-install it it will be in phase again, hope that helps
