I took is out and sanded it and cleaned it up as part of installing power steering. I cut off the column above the steering box knowing I would have to cut it to the correct length when I put it all back together. I have now finished the power steering box and pump installation and am putting the steering column back in. I am not sure how far the steering column is suppose to stick out from the dash and I have no way to determine it. Could someone measure the distance from the dash to the bottom of the steering wheel for me so I know how far to extend the tube into the cab? I would really appreciate it. If it already has some size to it, allow for some further expansion. Seriously, you only need to worry about column shifter clearance from the dash.

To the top of the horn button: 15 1/8. 1959 Panel, all stock.
