The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Reproduction cabs

Hi all, I have been looking through the discussion forums and came across an interesting question , one of the bolsters asked if there was a site to look for repro cabs for trucks of the 1940's era, and I am curious also. Does anyone know if there is a site to look at for this info? Thanks in advance, Pat.

have never seen any pre-47 cabs reproduced

There are Pre-47 cabs made, but they are very custom. They are lengthened for more legroom as well as several other modifications. I don't recall the link or company name. I believe they're fiberglass.

Thanks guys,I was hoping to find something to look at as I am have no experience at body work ,seems like you can find other big items like frames,transmissions,brake sets,etc but no stock cabs, well maybe they will come along someday. Pat

if you just want to look at a good cab, check the gallery, lots of pictures - and you might try to find someone nearby with a finished truck your year to check out - if your cab needs a lot of help, consider looking for another original from a truck someone is parting out, the repro cabs [AD and later] are $8,000 up + shipping, you could buy a fairly decent truck for that
