I am trying to find the off white paint formula for the bumper on a 53 1/2 ton chevy truck. I assume it is the same color as the grill back slats which I have painted many years ago ... but we can not locate the formula.
Thanks in Advance! | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | The GM 1953 Tech Specs Manual indicates that the inner grill bars in 1953 were Thistle Gray (as were hub caps) and the bumper was Anvil Gray. Check the 47-55 colors Tech Tip. There are instructions for contacting PPG - they had "offset formulae" for me when I contacted them a little over 10 years ago. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 | And if PPG can give you a formula for Thistle Gray and Anvil Gray, please post it for the rest of us.
