Almost done with the '59. I have the step braces to go and charge the a/c. Last night was spent taking the tail off the transmission to install the speedo drive gear the transmission shop forgot to install.

Made up an alternator harness. Found some dummy lights which will be required for both the late model alternator and the CEL.

For that under the dash work it's best to have a skinny 13 year old with a degree in mechanical engineering, or if not available, then a double-jointed contortionist. lol

Picked up my new 235 from Old inline power and got it installed in the truck. Now I need to resolve the issue of the shift linkage hitting the offy dual intake. Looks like that is my only real surprise!

Made a bracket and painted it to mount my oil filter. Also worked on my shift linkage issue, I believe I have it solved need to take 5/8" out of the upper arm. Made a template out of plastic slid it on and was able to shift the gears. Going to have a friend cut and weld it for me. The shift box was a mess with gritty grease cleaned it out and have it ready for new. Also mounted my transmission mount and got the torque tube attached.

Made new door panels for my 54'. For the cost of about $3, I'd say it looks pretty darn good! (Yes... I know the door panels cost about $10 for new ones... but my girlfriend wanted to help so I did it that way instead)

Wheelskins! 18"x3". It took a long time, and my hands are sore, but I think it was worth it.

Dave,
I've done that a few times on some of my cars. It is labor intensive and hard on the hands but I think the product is the best out there. Looks great ! Also will keep the wheel from getting too hot to handle like mine does if in the sun too long.. wink

Finally got my 45 running for the first time, now down to the court house to show the VIN and transfer. On test run realized next is tightening steering.

Everybody, give me direction on what next.

Nice looking. What are the seat covers made of..? I never put on the ones I ordered cuz they're cheap woven plastic... Like to find good wool ones...
