I appreciate the scans on the old manuals site but I have to say they are really too low of a resolution; when I zoom in on them, I can't read some of the numbers, labels, etc.
I began looking through the brake section and I was amazed at how well the exploded views look, including the rear brakes for a 1 Ton! I'm going to have to buy a safe just to keep this book in!
Just more newbie excitement..

I was glad to find a 1948 issue so that I don't have to wade through all the 1950s common parts which was confusing me quite a bit. In the 1948 catalog the FS 1 ton parts are listed as separate line items most of the time but seems buried most of the time in the later issued catalogs.
It's good to hear there's another rust bucket aficionado on here. I get some heavy criticism sometimes from the locals when they see my heavily rusted parts and pictures. I love this truck though and will restore what I can to look nicer with powder coating and rechroming but this rust bucket will always have a rough look to it and that's what I love about it.
