Are you talking about the anchor pins for the brake shoes. I just got mine at Napa. It was a hardware kit that had the right lenght pins. You get new springs, washers, and return springs.
Hope this helps.

I also have a 1954 3600. I think this ( see photos ) is the part your looking for.
I have collected every single part for my brakes GM NOS, front & rear.
If you need any other photos of brake parts, just ask, I'll post them up to my brake parts album on photobucket.

I take photos of every part I buy.

If you look at the middle photo with the bluish background color.
I think ebay seller: washprotim , had them on sale about a month ago on ebay. You can search ebay by seller name. I don't recall if they sold on ebay.

see photobucket album, below:

Horsegirl, Check out the photos @ photobucket.

Photos show used 1954 Chevy 3/4 ton Parking Brake Parts.

I think you need to locate a '54 truck thats being

parted out or one in a junkyard & get what you can get.

I've checked my sources for nos parts...no luck.

These brake parts are kinda scarce.

Lucky for me, I collected nos parts years ago.

you are right these parts are very hard to find! I think I will just not put the park brake in I haven't seen anything that looks like those parts anywhere. I did find the anchor pins finally at a salvage yard and I also got the springs for the front brakes but the rear ones were already gone (everything except the anchor pins was gone in the back) did you get your springs new and if so where?

horsegirl,

I found my springs years ago & they are GM nos. See: photobucket photos below. I only like GM NOS parts.

http://s669.photobucket.com/user/glp0329/library/Brake%20Parts

Friesen Chevrolet in Nebraska has ( 1 ) # 1416760 & ( 2 ) # 3697428. You can certainly call them @ 1-800-525-1691,
ask for parts dept... ask for Betty in parts dept.,
she's been very helpful & she's very nice to deal with.

I do see some springs on ebay occasionally.

Right now if you search on ebay, use this search phrase:

Chevy brake springs nos

You will see ebay seller: washprotim has ( 2 ) auctions with a total of ( 3 ) GM NOS springs GM # 1416760 .
He has one auction for ( 2 ) @ $0.99 & another auction for ( 1 ) @ $4.99.

Dan's (old car parts seller) in Montana has ( 2 ) GM NOS # 3697428...his phone # 1-406-357-2615.

Bruce Bugay, is a private antique car parts seller from Virginia...I've purchased many many parts from him...always great stuff !
His email address:[email protected]
Tell him George from New Jersey sent you.

Good luck hunting,

George
