For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 50 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 50 | My 48 3100 is in need of a new under bed fuel tank, brackets, the works. I can get a complete replacement system ,mounting brackets, sender etc. for about $525.00 that's half of what I paid for the whole truck.(Yes I found a smokin deal) My question is this , Is there a cheaper alternative that mounts along the frame in the stock location. I want to keep the under bed spare tire in place. A complete new setup for $525 sounds like a really good price for what you're getting. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | 1949 was the first year to have the tank behind the seat. Not that they are any easier to find but Carryall/Suburban used the same tank as your 48.
