I am mating a Chevy 350 with a Muncie SM420 transmission. The bell housing is the stock unit for my 59 3100.

Which flywheel and starter should I use for this application?

thanks

the transmission has nothing to do with the starter, use the 59 flywheel and starter, providing the bellhouse is from a V8 [59 283?] and the starter too, with the key start solenoid

I was hoping for something a little more specific.

Hy arturo7, the only thing I would add to what red58 has said is if the engine is a 1986 or newer engine (one piece rear main seal), it will require a flywheel the same diameter as the 265/283 original flywheel to match up with the starter, if the engine has a two piece rear main seal you could use the stock 265/283 flywheel, hope that helps.

You should use a 168 tooth flywheel that is drilled for an 11" clutch for the crate engine. I thought you got the starter from Mike, if not you need the 3 hole horizontal mount end plate to match the bell housing. Call me, we need to get it fired up.
