Anyone know if a mustang II suspension crossmember will fit underneath a 235 engine without raising engine ? I dont really want to go the V8 route. Thanks in advance

You can make anything fit with a welder and a cutting torch.

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.

I'm not very familiar installing Mustang 2 front suspensions, as I'm not really a fan of them, but you might consider taking a look at Project ClasSix on the Trucks! section of the Powerblock website. If you're not familiar with ClasSix, it's a '51 Chevy 3100 (they mistakenly IDed the truck as '48), it has a Mustang 2 frontend under it with a later 235. You might be able to see what they did to make it fit.

Trucks! Powerblock site. Here is the episode where they did the front suspension.

OldBlue,
Here are a few pics of my font suspension. TCI sold a complete kit for my '39.
Pic
The instructions had me cut out the front motor mount cross member in order to use the rack and pinion.
It might be different on your year of truck.
Side mounts were used to set the engine. Driver side , passenger side motor mounts.
My set up:
1954 235
55 clutch housing
T-5 trans
under the floor brake/clutch set up

The "Trucks" episode mentioned did not cut out the front motor mount. At a later episode they fabricated side motor mounts and set the engine. They are much better then mine.

ClasSix Part 8

I do not know if my engine was raised from the original location but it is together now. From the engine to the rear end.

I hope this helps
