There was one belt-line stripe. These were supposedly applied by hand, and different widths have been observed. I think that 3/16th" to 1/4" have been reported in older posts. I have a 1/8" stripe (Cream Medium color) on my Suburban and it was viewed as being original by Bob Adler (an expert) - he had not seen this narrow a width stripe before this one.

What is/was the width/thickness of the stripe (approximately)? Tim, I measured in a few places and it averaged 3/16". I wouldn't doubt if it was done like most factories do, with a Buegler. Even enough to look good while giving that done-by-hand look. | | |
