Does anyone have pictures, or a shop manual to show how this is supposed to go together? | | | | | Joined: Jun 2013 Posts: 16 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jun 2013 Posts: 16 | Have you been here: http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/I will have my 3/4 brakes apart on the chassis I just got (it's a 3/4 ton). I'll take pictures, but I don't know how soon I'll be at it. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 306 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 306 | i redid my 53 3/4ton front and rear brakes. they are the bendix type. i used the 54 manual. if you've ever done drum brakes before they are pretty much the same. the springs are a bit of a pain.

I have the front back together and adjusted. Hopefully they work better then new! Now I just have to install the axle, upgrade the tie rod ends, find a sway bar, replace/upgrade (undecided) the master cylinder and be back on the road! Maybe if I meditate enough I can figure out a disc brake conversion for the original front axle... | | |
