I saw that Chev's of the 40s sells a balancer mounted timing tab getup.. Will any of those work with a 235 or are there specific timing tabs available for the 235?

That hole in the bell housing is just not practical.

Any advice?

There's a long thread over on the HAMB about it... but the gist is they make generic pointers you can mount where ever works for you. Add some timing tape and away you go.
