I am putting the emergency brake back together and have a question on what exactly is required by the two wheel pulleys? I have the 1938 Chevrolet shop manual and there is a pretty good picture on page 118, but need a little better picture. I have the emergency brake handle, the rod, fork and spring assembly that attaches to the handle, the spring and hook that attaches to the frame, but it looks like there is something else behind the wheel pulleys that attaches to the cross member. Does anyone have a good picture of the cable and wheel pulley assembly next to the cross member? Just need a little clarification.

Have you mounted the e-break lever? Here is a pic of the lever I a using with a Lokar universal e-brake cable hardware. I had to get a T5 hand brake bracket from limeworks so I could have the e-brake handle and trans lever together.

That looks great. I have mounted mine but took a different approach, I made a battery box and mounted my e-break to the battery box instead of the t5 transmission. The outcome is the same. Thanks for the reply.

So someone makes a bracket now,I made my own bracket when I put the T-5 in my 37. I used Lokars cables for the AD trucks.

Could one of you guys send me the brake handle pictures. I bought a 38 in pieces and trying to figure out how it goes back together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a book called Chevrolet shop manual for 1938 for all passenger cars and trucks. Don't remember where as it was quite a few years ago.
