Is this something that can easily be fixed. If not I have found a guy selling a 1954 frame in town that looks pretty nice. Will that Frame work on a 1952?

The 1954 bed mounts differently from the 1952 bed. Maybe someone will post information on how easy it is to adapt/attach the 52 bed to the 54 frame?
