What is pretty much the standard rear axle width everyone puts under their trucks? I'm looking for a rear to swap my original out with. I read that a lot of people use camaro rears?

It depends on what year truck you have. For early trucks; 36-46 or so, a 4wd S10/Blazer rear end is the correct stock width. Later models are wider.

Im running a 4wd s-10 under my 46,fits perfect with the stock 1 3/4 springs and welded on perches I got from jc whitney

That rear, a 10 bolt, will fit both 1/2 ton 3100 and 3/4 ton 3600. Also the axles will accept the 2002 Firebird disc brakes.

Another issue is the lug count. The Camaro is a 5 lug, (it is 62.5") but if you've been reading about this fit you will know this.

I figure it would probably be best to go with camaro rear since the front is already corvette

Some of you guys that have the camaro rear under your trucks I would like to know what kind of changes you had to make as far as wheel options. I know there is a 60" and a 62.5" camaro rear so please let me know the width of the rear you have. I would figure the 60" would be to narrow seeing as how the original had a pretty narrow track to begin. I don't have the bed on my truck so I'm left with asking questions. Someone had posted a diagram a while back and with drawing of the whole truck and measurements and I wish I could find that again but haven't been able to locate it.

What truck do you have? I assume it between 47.5 and 53. My 51 3600 has a 80 Camaro 10 bolt. It's been a few years but I'm sure it was 62.5. Be advised, the 3600 frame is 11 inches more narrow than the 3200. That, I believe is only helpful if you want to tub your bed.

Are you wanting to put tires in that fill the fenders, what's your ride height, are you planning on tubbing the bed?

These questions all need to be answered so that you get the look you want. You can use a 2WD S-10 rear if you want to run 10" wheels with lots of reverse and tub the box.

If the front is already Corvette, you should do your best to match your track width to the front, don't worry about what the truck was originally. In doing this you have to take into consideration the wheels you will be running and their offset as well.

I don't mind changing the offset up a little for track with. I also don't mind tubbing the bed as long as I don't have to do a huge tub... Mini tub I don't mind.
