Looking to install a 235 or a 292 inline in my 49 fleet line. Any direction or modification watch outs I need to be aware of prior to pulling the trigger?

Also will a turbo tranny fit these engines?

The 235 is almost a direct bolt in. The 292 is a different animal & will require quite a bit of modifications. The later model auto matics will fit the 292 but not the 235 unless you use a high dollar adapter.

the 292 block is slightly longer than the 235, the water pump will come close to the radiator, you might not have the space for a fan and have to go with a electric one, I have put 250 L6 in a 53 2 door and a 54 Sedan Delivery, and for motor mounts get with John(Cut Master) he has them for sale unless you can fabricate some, Speedway has the rubber mounts for around 25 bucks, good luck.
