Would like to hear from anyone who has one of these trucks. I think 62 was the last year for the c40 but not sure. It has the torsion bar front end. I also have 1963 c 10 stepside c 20 custom fleet side and my daily driver isa 65 stepside. I have other chevrolets but realy like the old 60's. Easy to drive and find parts. Thanks for any help Matthew

As far as I knew only 1/2 and 3/4 tons used torsion bars prior to '63. You learn something new every day! I know that in 1963 all trucks went to coil springs.
I do know for a fact that 1962 was the last year for ball bearings in the front spindles. They started using tapered roller bearings in 1963.
