Points, rotor, cap, and condenser. Added an in line filter before the fuel pump and put in a new set of plugs and wires. He was impressed. Started better and ran stronger. I thought cool. Nice to see I have not lost my skills. He uses this as his daily driver. So this morning I get a call. He is dead just a few blocks from my place. I go over to see what is wrong. Just quit he says. Humm....Fuel looks good . Try it. No spark....... Looked under the cap and all looked good. Put the cap back on and my hand touched the point wire and it moved. Ah ha! ...Wire was tight. The shaft that goes through to the points was spinning.???? Started up and I followed him back to my place. The plastic block that goes trough the side of the dizzy was crumbling and let the shaft spin. I had another dizzy and pulled the parts off with out moving the points or the dizzy. Put it back together and we drove it all day running errands. A simple thing but if the points don't get voltage there will be no spark. This was one of those things that took longer to find than to fix. Add it to your list of s#$% to check when frustrated. Enjoy!
