i am looking to get some brakes going in my 46 1 1/2 flatbed. what are my best options? a total brake swap or the rebuild? i am redoing this as a work truck so i would like a good user for the job at hand. this thing has been sitting a long time.

Options?, a lot of work, far more than just rebuilding what ya have. The stock brakes are a fairly good size for gross weight in the 10-12k lbs weight range.I have a 45 Chevy 2 ton, did the brakes a few years ago.Relined shoes from a local brake shop, new master, new wheel cylinders, the drums were in great shape. The truck stops just fine considering it's 45 mph cruising speed. If you carry heavy loads you might want a Hydovac assist.Remember to check the rear wheel bearings and buy new seals, and beg, borrow or steal a wheel dolly to support the whole dual tire assembly, makes the job a piece of cake.
