So excited, cause Saturday I entered my 63c10, just had finished the bed the week before, posted pics here last week, and there was judging in several categories. Mine is a driver, but I painted every part off frame, then added a new Mar k bed and prepped the wood as on their site with black paint, and clear coat, stainless steel trim.
There were 6 other chevy trucks, I thought mine held it's own, but was surprised when they announced the overall first place people's award. This is where all visitors get a vote in the overall best ride. They called my number, and I couldn't believe it... So pretty pleased that others noticed all my efforts,

Trying to post pics now. Photobucket

Tmanfarmj85, congratulations on your award. Its nice to see that folks recognized your hard work. I had similar experience when I finished my 37 back in 2000. It shows it's wear after the years but it consistently takes a top ten. Enjoy your truck now, and pat yourself on the back. Others appreciate it but most of all you do. All the blood sweat and tears makes you the proudest of them all. Way to go. Best of luck going forward.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

The mar k parts are ...the wood, front panel, tailgate,s.s. strips and bolts, all cross members to support the wood to the frame.
