For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 | Since I have 1 more 235 (a 52) and a GMC 270 motor still to do I was thinking that doing my own valve seats would save me a ton of cash. I found the Neway sets and they appear to be well known, even found some youtube videos.
Anyone have an opinion on them? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 135 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 135 | I have used them before, they work pretty well, provided you get a pilot that fits the valve guide good and tight. They can be very time consuming if you have new guides and they are not pressed in exactly straight. Make sure you have the cutters to go above and below the seat to get the correct placement of the seat in correlation with the new face of the valve | | |
