The guage said it was running hot so I put in a mechanical guage to make sure I was getting a correct reading. Sure enough I'm running 210-220 and ocassionally up to 230. I cant find anything wrong with the cooling system. I'd pull the radiator and have it inspected and then flushed. I'd then reinstall with a new 180 degree thermostat and then fill with water, no antifreeze.
Hopefully that fixes the issue. If it does, then drain half the water and fill back up with antifreeze.

That was never a problem. I had the 230 and it ran hot, but it got Really Hot after I dropped in the 327. I kept my eyes open and found an original fan shroud on eBay for $25.00. Some elbow grease and a little paint later and it bolted right in. Now the temp gauge needle sits right in the middle of the gauge.
