The big one is a dual action pump, meaning it has a vacuum pump built into the bottom to boost vacuum for vacuum wipers.

Not sure what specific model... they generally were not stamped with a model number that I know of. Parts are very easy to get.

Is a restoration ever finished? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 | Its hard to tell if they will work... where the pump mount is in relation to the cam lobe is the only key. Some pump arms ride the top of the cam lobe, others ride the bottom. If you do rebuild it check the inner lever for wear where it inserts into the diaphragm slot. I've seen pumps so worn that even though the arm moves, its so worn that the diaphragm never cycles. You can weld it up and file it smooth. Did that to my 42 Ford. I needed a new fuel pump for my 1939 Chevy 216 and had one in a few days. It will differ somewhat as it has no glass bowl but bolts up and works like a charm. If you use one of these pumps some sort of filtration must be used before the pump to protect the check valves.
