I have spent the last six weeks attempting to locate a drive gear or re-man distributor for my 34 chevy. I even went as far as to inquire about n.o.s. I was comming up empty, until yesterday. My last call was also a rejection, but the young lady suggested I contact Lester Harris, in Minden NV. (ph 775-267-2559 fax 775 267 2241). Lester doesn't operate a store front but sells parts from home. Because of the time difference our conversation did not last long, but Lester informed me he has 20 of the re-man distributors in stock I was looking for. He also indicated that he has two wharehouse's of old parts. Mostly mechanical but some sheet metal. I will keep his number on file and will not hestae to call him again. I hope he will be able to assist others in providing hard to locate parts for vintage vehicles. | | |
