Acton Ca car show....beautiful park like grounds, lots of shade trees, perfect warm day...good tunes, good food....

then this happens cry

Firewood 1

Firewood 2
Couple of good sized dents down the formerly straight sides, couple more along the roof

Of all the big elm trees and all the cars there, guess it just was my turn
Called Hagerty, I'll keep ya posted on how this turns out.

Ouch. I know how you feel, I had a mishap in mine over the weekend, too. A lady backed into me in the parking lot where I work.

I was starting to think about the tree branches when the wind was picking up a little towards the end of the day. Made me tie down one pop up and put away the other. Otherwise, it was a really nice campground.

I was in the parade at the springfield route 66 rally and dropped a valve. I slowed down the parade and limped to my parking spot. I still had a good time, It is a great event.

does elm make good firewood? You have a truck to take it home in...(you know the lemon/lemonade thing) at least no one got conked in the head.

I prefer to park under a tree but I sometimes get bit if it's a elm or there are a couple of birds in the tree. I've never had one lose a limb. Hagerty has a good reputation so hopefully they'll treat you right.

Where the cars were displayed, there really wasn't any area that wasn't under a tree.

I took the '53 to a show last year and parked next to a late 60's Torenado with factory perfect paint - really really nice (he got a trophy for it). At the end of the show it started to rain. The guy was in such a hurry to leave he cut it too close to my front bumper and rubbed the side of his car down it. he didn't even stop. A little compound and elbow grease got the paint off the bumper, but his car will never be the same. I'd have felt sorry for if he stopped, but....
