Wen't to use my truck tonight and no front lights also the bright indicator stayed lit on the dash when headlight switch was on 1st thought bad ground but cab marker lights and headlights don't work different ground it's a 66.Is there a fusible link rear lights came on and bright indicator stayed on with high or low pushed on switch flashers worked.Never had a problem with lights before this and am hoping someone else has had same issue to save me some time.

Still trying to figure out found a wiring diagram online said red wire to head light switch always power it did have 12 volt said blue wire from switch to headlights jumped these wires still no lights did continuity on dimmer switch it seems to be good am going to trace cab marker lights see where they are tied in go from there

So I dug in and found 2 issues wire for marker light corroded through at rocker panel.After this I new it should be a grounding issue on headlights when I got the truck I was worried about grounding issues with headlights so I ran the ground directly to neg on battery well this wire got pinched and broke so I am running new wire for ground to headlights.

Grounding seems to solve 9 out of 10 electrical issues on these old trucks. Good to know you got it all figured out.

Most of the time headlight problems are the dimmer switch connector. Take a look at the connecter & see if it isn't corroded.
