I've hummed and hawed on this idea for years and finally took the plunge. I know I know "cutting up a classic" but it's mine right? Wasn't easy but in the end works out very well. The ccp kit for the firewall hangs so the old clutch had to go as well. Had to fabricate a hanging petal and get everything perfect in a VERY tight space. Funny you can land a plane on these firewalls but everything wants to be in the same place. In the second picture you can see a blurry bolt. That bolt is now in place to act as the stop for the ebrake handle. Had to readjust it and the cable in order for it to clear the petal. Also needed a new clutch plate from a 283 vette to work the hydro correctly. New brake lines throughout, roller bearings etc. So overall these aftermarket "all inclusive" kits are far from that but with time and thought work out well. With new carpet installed the end result is a nice one. Since I fabricated the petal assembly I was able to work with the distance and pressures needed so it still "feels" like a bolt. But let me tell ya don't throw a dime in front of me unless you wanna see my truck as it STOPS! Now. Nicer then ever before anyway. Enough of my rant. Just wanted to share.

Thank you! It's crazy every time I touch the truck it seems a thousand twist and turns to get to the end result! Guess that's true off all these bolts when you feel the itch to update things. I'm afraid to install ac and I live in Arizona for goodness sakes! Lol
