The original head gasket and 2 new head gaskets I bought have the same holes blocked. The holes are about 3/8 dia and located between #1 and #2 cylinder and #3 and #4 cylinder on the drivers side (not to be confused with the steam holes which are ok.) Seems strange that 2 water passage holes would be cast in the block and head, only to be covered up by a head gasket. Any reasons why? Should I take a hole punch and open these water passages? The edges of the holes will not have the brass edge portection that all other holes have, but for a nonpressurized coolant system I don't think it would matter. | | |
