Just getting ready to put the front end back together on my '51 3100 and I found that the new bushings are a pretty loose fit in one spindle. The new kingpins fit great in the axle. My question is...what is the best way to measure a spindle bore for inner diameter size? (What tool).
I searched on kingpins and spindle bushings and really learned alot about how to address spindle wear. Right now I think I am going to address the wear issue with Loctite 660. The spec sheet on this product says it will fill a gap up to 0.020 diametrical clearance. Standard bushing OD should be 1.0537. So I just need to figure out the inner diameter of my spindle bores...
