I have never seen a small, cute cap like that on anything. I wonder if this was made special for/by Mr. Langdon, or is it a not often seen stock distributor.

Interesting. I have always heard that a distributor out of a six with a V configuration wouldn't work in a six in the "straight" style. The distributor cam wasn't divided evenly..or sumpin like that.
Maybe this is another one of those pesky myths!
