I have a 66 chevy truck and was wondering if the truck was originally a 6 volt or 12 volt I'm sure someone here knows the answer. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

Every chev. from 55 up came out with 12 volt system. The change from gen. to alt. was made in62-63. Merry Christmas
