Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 182 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 182 | I'm trying to figure out what the door handles (or knobs) looked like for these heaters so I can try to duplicate them as ours are missing. These are the firewall mounted heaters that had an 8 3/4" round heater core. The holes in the doors for each handle are 2 1/4" apart.
Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | here's a pic from Brads truck, the other models are the same if I recall correctly - might find other pics on his site hereBill | | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 182 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 182 | That's a picture of the smaller 2-door heater. Jim Carter lists that as being used on 1940 and older trucks. It has different door handles than the 3-door heater I requested a picture for.
Thanks anyway. | | |
