IF it runs now then you may get away with just truing up the commutator & undercutting the mica. Wash windings with soap n water and paint brush chase with isopropyl and oven dry. Find a motor shop that will dip n bake new varnish. Reassemble and test.
IF a rewind is needed that is going to cost $$$$. Large motor shops more than likely will not touch it.
Automotive electrical rebuilder may be willing to do it.

I dont think they need rewinding. i can rebuild the engine, paint it, but when it comes to electrical motors Im a complete clutz, I cant make them work, never could. | | | | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 354 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 354 | I ordered a Factory Air replacement 6V motor from Advance for less than $30.00 to replace the one in my defroster. Fitting it required only cutting the mounting bolts & slightly massaging the mounting holes with a file. You can only find it by searching using the part number 35512.
