I ran a 12ga wire from the pink wire at the back of the ignition to the bat on the HEI. The wiring harness that plugs into the firewall has 3 wires that go to the starter, 1 wire that goes to the temp sending unit, and 1 yellow wire that would go to the pos side of the coil. Where would the yellow wire go now that I have a HEI instead of a coil. Thanks | | |

The pink wire you are using is sufficient. You want 12 volts going to the HEI, so that it will work correctly. | | |
