A small piece is stuck in the slot of the pin, with a single turn still wrapped around the pin. I've been soaking it with PB blaster. The heat riser itself turns freely.
Does anyone have a tip for removing it from the slot without messing up the pin? Since the engine is in the truck, it's a little tricky to get to it.
My dad always told me, "Don't force it, get a bigger hammer".

Multiple cycles of:
1. PB blaster, etc
2. heat
3. light tapping on the spring
4. do not spread the slit in the pivot, unless absolutely necessary (you do not want to weaken the metal at the slit end of the pivot
5. repeat sequence from #1
