I have read and seen pics of people using the hinges off of a Buick to tilt the hood forward. Just wanted to ask if anyone on here has done this and how well it worked.

i used one to do a impala hood. it worked good. it was a pain makeing the catch to hold the hood down and the cables to release the hood. you have to locate the correct piviot point to mount the hinges so it cleared every thing when it comes forward and tilts [ it takes a lot of time and help]
