It has a 12' flatbed and it has 19.5 wheels 5/10 lug pattern. I want to put my 55 gmc 2 ton body on that chassis. My gmc currently has 9R 22.5 wheels. Big 6 lug. So my question/concern is I won't find any tall tires for the 19.5 wheels to equal or come close to my current tire height. (36" 37") So I'm wondering is the old dually 20" wheels that has the same lug patter.... I imagine I could bolt those old ones on the 1993 truck. So if I can.. Are there tubeless 20" 5/10 lug rims? If there are can you get tires for the 20" rim that can come close to 36" tall?

After 1956 there were factory 22.5" tubeless wheels made for the whole truck line, but the 5/10 bolt pattern wheels were pretty narrow, and they seem to be extremely rare.

As far as tires and their height for the 20 inch rims, even the 7.50 is usually a little more than 36 inches. Now, I'm talking "old truck" rims and tires here. Definitely tube type. Maybe the new custom styled 20 inchers would have a rim and (tubeless) tire that would work on the newer Chevy truck. I think some of them are quite large. | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,189 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,189 | Beast54, Maybe I can help clear a few things up for you. The 19.5" wheels and tires are tubeless type. The 20" wheels and tires are ALL tube type. The 22.5" Wheels and tires are tubeless and are the replacements for the 20" tube type. All three of these wheels could have the 5/10 lug bolt pattern, but they may not have the same size center hole. When looking for the comparable tires between 20 and 22.5, the 22.5 will be one size bigger than the 20. So your 9R 22.5 will match 8.25R 20 and a 10R 22.5 will match a 9R 20. Hope this helps... The 20's are all lock ring...or whatever you want to call them.... because there is not the drop center needed for fitting the tire over the rim so you have to make the rim come apart to put the tires on. The 22.5 rims have the drop center. That's the easiest way to tell a 20 from a 22.5 from a distance or a picture.
