One of the members here, His handle is 3B, found mine for me at Rockauto. Mine is a 1957 - 2 & 1/2 Ton GMC COE. It has 4 springs per wheel on the rear. The price was good too. All 8 of mine were broken when I bought it. I have yet not been able to navigtate Rockauto site, but he found them. They came all 8 in a box for 15.39 Wtih shipping only cost $26 for 8. Part # H500
NAPA # is UP80164 cost $17.10 not including shipping.
Of course this info is for a 57 GMC, yours may be a different part #. But this will give you somewhere to start.
P.S. They may move this topic to the driveline forum.

Hy 54chevyCOE, welcome, a bit more information will help locate your return springs. Width of brake shoes, number of springs per wheel, are your springs all the same length, are your springs short barrel type ones, if you have enough pieces left could you estimate the length of the springs? I'll be away all day but if you can provide more info I'll work on this when I get home this evening.

pull the good ones off the other side then take them to your FLAPS and measure to replace broken ones

Be careful calling yourself a expert, because an "EX" is a hasbeen and a"SPERT" is a drip under pressure.
