It is supposed to be on the primary side of the ignition between the switch and the coil on the positive side. I don't believe mine had one {Can't remember it's been too long} and I am not finding one with my stuff. Also would it hurt my 6 volt ignition coil to run briefly on 12 volts, I don't think so but don't want to damage my original coil.
