Does the interior color stop at the windlace or at the seam of the panels on the door jams??

You can see the body color wraps a little into the jam. Same on the striker side ...click... Could be different from plant to plant. Some one else will have to chime in on the interior color for you Good luck | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,518 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,518 | I was wondering where the break line was on the 1/2 ton AD trucks for the interior paint and the exterior color? John On my 53PU (assembled in the Oakland plant) the paint break line in the jamb is where the outer body skin rolls over and meets the jamb. 1953 Chevrolet 3100261 cu inch, sm420, 3.55 rear, torque tube still, omaha orange, still 6 volt, RPO green glass, side carrier spare, all done In the DITY GalleryVideo of the 261 running1964 GMC 1000305 Big Block V6, sm420, the next cab off restoration

I see drawings in the Tech Tips for modifying a rear fender for an external spare tire mounting. I got the extra rear fender here.... :-) John | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | 1953 standard cab interior color: Sheen Gray Poly - PPG (31104; now 27467) Sheen Gray Metallic - Dupont (202-81407)
Supposedly, in 1953 some plants continued to paint the regular cab interiors the same color as used in previous years.
What kind of 1953 truck do you have?
As posted above, the transition point between exterior and interior colors is where the outer sheet-metal "skin" ends.
