Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 502 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 502 | I found an old 3 piece oil bath (lid, element, can) however, it seams to be missing a gasket between the top of the carb neck and the can. It causes the vehicle to run rich. I have tried with varying oil levels and without oil, no change.
Any ideas? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 502 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 502 | And I cleaned the element in the same manner as my two piece oil bath, and dried and oiled it, no luck.

Near as I can tell it never did. There is a rubber seal between the base and the copper filter media canister then again between the filter media canister and the lid. I think it's more of a carb issue than a filter issue.
